The managing partner, Kevin T. Corcoran, has a broad and diverse background in the law. Admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 1984 and in New York in 1985, Mr. Corcoran has had experience in almost every aspect of practice in Residential Mortgage Banking, Finance, Real Property Law, Business and Contract Law over the past 33+ years. He possesses a unique understanding of the business of mortgage banking and mortgage brokering and the State and Federal Laws that govern that industry. Mr. Corcoran practiced for 3 years as in-house General Counsel and rose to Chief Operating Officer for a FNMA/FHLMC mortgage banking/servicing operation, giving him a unique insight into the entire industry from Origination, Processing, Underwriting, Delivery, Servicing and Mortgage Backed Securities. This experience gives him the ability to understand the pressures and pitfalls facing the Managers and Directors of Banks and other Mortgage Professionals each day and counsel them accordingly. Kevin T. Corcoran has taught Mortgage Basics for the Institute for Continuing Legal Education of the New Jersey State Bar Association and teaches The Business of Mortgage Banking at the licensing class for the Mortgage Bankers Association of New Jersey.

William E. Throne, IV, is “Of Counsel” to the Corcoran Law Group, LLC. In practice since 1995, Mr. Throne maintains a real estate focused legal practice dedicated to the representation of individuals, businesses and mortgage lenders involved in the purchase, sale, leasing, and financing of residential and commercial real estate. Mr. Throne is an experienced litigator, and regularly represents clients in complex commercial matters and other legal disputes, as well as mortgage and tax foreclosures. Mr. Throne also represents debtors and creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases. Well versed in the laws and regulations governing the transactions and other cases he handles, Mr. Throne approaches each matter with a practical emphasis in order to achieve his client’s desired result in as cost-effective and timely a manner as possible.
